Singham Again: After Deepika Padukone, THIS actor joins Ajay Devgn in Rohit Shetty's cop universe

After the failure of Cirkus, filmmaker Rohit Shetty is leaving no stone unturned to make his upcoming film, Singham Again, a sure shot hit. The film is already high on star power with Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone as lead actors. And the filmmaker is planning on roping in another star in the cast, and he is none other than Vicky Kaushal.

According to the latest report, Rohit is chalking out a proper character for Vicky in Singham Again. His character would be more on the heroic and macho side as a cop in the movie. "Vicky Kaushal and Rohit Shetty are in talks for Singham Again for a while now and Rohit is chalking out a proper character for Vicky in Singham Again. His cop will be very different from Ranveer, who is an over-the-top character. Rohit wants to explore the heroic and macho side of Vicky in his cop universe," a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

Singham Again will also see Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar in cameo roles as cop characters from Simmba(2018) and Sooryavanshi(2022) respectively. The source further added that "Rohit is working on the script to carve a track for Vicky and is happy with the way things are moving ahead. Official paperwork shall happen once the script is locked. But Rohit is excited to work with an actor in a different space.” The Singham Again will be the third instalment from the Singham franchise after Singham(2011) and Singham Returns(2014). Ajay will reprise his role as cop Bajirao Singham and Deepika Padukone will be the first lady cop in the movie.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Govinda Naam Mera and Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat. He will next be seen in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke alongside Sara Ali Khan.On the other hand, Rohit's last movie Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh, Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde tanked at the box office. The movie was released on December 23, 2022 in theatres.
