Three films Kabir Singh star Shahid Kapoor regretted being a part of and the one film he wished he hadn't turned down
Shahid Kapoor's filmography is a mixed bag of hits and flops but here are the biggest regrets of his career.
Shahid Kapoor has seen many ups and down in his career of nearly two decades in Bollywood. The star was last seen in the biggest success of his career, Kabir Singh and is busy reinventing himself at the moment taking up intense roles and action entertainers only.
While Shahid has not been an actor who shies away from risks, his career is certainly not free of regrets. The Bollywood star has time and again been vocal about not being too happy with a few of the projects he ended up in. In an interview once the actor was asked about projects he wished he hadn’t done and you’d not be surprised to learn that he had more one than one film to name.
The actor listed his disasters like Shaandar, Chup Chup Ke and Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi as projects he regrets having done. His filmography is burdened with many more box office failures but these films in particular did raise eyebrows time and again about the choices he was making.
While risks like Padmaavat have paid off for him, he had also said about the Snajya Leela Bhansali film once on Koffee With Karan that he wished it had balanced screen time though he didn’t regret taking up the film which was dominated by Deepika Padukone and ranveer Singh.
Moving aside from disasters and risks Shahid also has had the misfortune of rejecting some major films which turned out to be blockbusters. Shahid was offered some outstanding films like Rockstar , Ranjahnaa and Rang De Basanti all of which he turned down. However, the only film he has admitted he regretted turning down was Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti in which he was offered actor Siddharth ’s role.
Shahid had once said that he was really moved after reading the script of the film but unfortunately couldn’t make time to make it work out.
