    Following the Delhi and Jaisalmer schedule, Mani Ratnam and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s most ambitious project Thug Life will begin its next schedule very soon! According to the latest reports, the team is set to begin their next schedule in Chennai from tomorrow (May 21, 2024).

    Sources also reveal that the Chennai schedule has been chalked out for 17 days. Silambarasan, Ashok Selvan and Bollywood actor Ali Fazal are all part of the Chennai schedule. However, Ali Fazal might begin his portions later in July as he and his wife Richa Chaddha are expecting their first child soon.

    Thug Life - New cast members join the team

    With actors Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi backing out of the project, new cast members including Silambarasan, Ashok Selvan and Bollywood actor Ali Fazal have reportedly joined the team. Although the role of actor Silambarasan was revealed earlier, Ashok Selvan and Ali Fazal’s characters are yet to be announced. Not only Ali Fazal, but Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is also reportedly part of the project.

    Expressing his joy over working on the project, actor Ali Fazal said that he is thrilled to be a part of the cast. “I am truly thrilled to be a part of Mani sir’s vision for Thug Life,” he said. “I can only hope I bring something of significance to this canvas. It’s also an honour to work alongside Kamal Haasan sir and share notes with him on this. The opportunity to collaborate with two stalwarts of Indian cinema has been humbling,” he added.

    Thug Life marks the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after 35 years, since their 1987 cult film Nayakan. The movie boasts an ensemble star cast, including Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan, Ashok Selvan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Trisha, Gautham Karthik, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vaiyapuri, among others. The music for the gangster drama is composed by AR Rahman.
