Trisha Krishnan thanks fans and friends for all love and support she has received as she celebrates 20 years in cinema

    The actress celebrated her career that spans two decades and 70 movies across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

    Trisha got her start in the industry after winning the prestigious Miss Chennai title in 1999 and started her acting career in the same year with a small role in Jodi.

    Her big break came in 2002 when she starred opposite Suriya in Mounam Pesiyadhe, which went on to become a critical and commercial success and established her position as a leading actress in the Tamil industry.

    The actress took to Twitter to thank her friends and fans for all their support throughout her career and how honored she feels and hopes they continue their support.

    She won her first Filmfare award for Best Actress in 2004 for her role in the Telegu movie Varsham opposite Prabhas. she went on to make her Hindi debut in 2010 opposite Akshay Kumar in the comedy movie Khatta Meetha, and her Kannada debut was in 2014 in the movie Powe in which she acted opposite with the late Puneeth Rajkumar.

    And finally, the actress made her Malayalam debut in 2018 with the movie Hey Jude, in which she was paired opposite Nivin Pauly.

    In a movie career spanning 70 movies, some of her biggest hits include movies like Ghilli, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Mankatha, 96, and the recently released Poniyen Selvam: Part 1.

    The actress received a lot of praise for her performance as the clever and insightful princess Kundavai Devi, and no doubt her performance will receive a lot of accolades when award season rolls in. 

    Ponniyen Selvan has gone on to become the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year and the fight highest grossing Tamil movie of all time. The sequel Chapter 2 is set to hit theaters in 2023.

    CurrentlyTrisha is busy with three other projects as well, they are the Malayalam movie Ram: Part 1 in which she will be acting opposite Mohanlal, and two Tamil the first being Sathuranga Vettai 2 in which she will star opposite Arvind Swamy and the final project is The Road in which she will be playing the lead.
