'Us jihadi ko zinda jala dunga': Shah Rukh Khan gets death threat for allegedly disrespecting saffron colour in Besharam Rang

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone ’s Besharam Rang from Pathaan was released, the controversy around it doesn’t seem to die anytime soon. In the latest development, Ayodhya-based seer Paramhans Acharya has sparked a massive outrage objecting to the saffron colour bikini of Deepika Padukone. He has issued death threats to the superstar, and also called him ‘jihadi’.

Deepika Padukone has worn saffron-colored outfits and performed sensuous dance moves to the peppy track, Besharam Rang. While Shah Rukh flaunted her washboard abs in the song. Well, the song didn’t go down well with the Ayodhya seer. He said, “People of our Sanatan Dharma are protesting continuously regarding this. Today we have burnt the poster of Shahrukh Khan. If I get to meet the film Jihadi Shah Rukh Khan, I will burn him alive. And before burning him, I will tear his skin off.”

Further, Paramhans Acharya added that he would move court if anybody else shows the courage to do the same. He has also warned that he would burn the theatres if the makers try to release the film. This is not the first time, a religious group has raised an objection claiming that the song hurt Hindu sentiments. The group has also raised eyebrows at the intense chemistry between Deepika and Shah Rukh in the song, alleging that it will corrupt the youth. However, the makers and Shah Rukh have not issued any response or clarification on the ongoing controversy.

Meanwhile, directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback after four years into the movies. Besides him and Deepika, the film also has John Abraham in pivotal roles. The action thriller is set to hit theatres on January 25 next year. Apart from this, Shah Rukh also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, and Altee’s Jawan in the pipeline.
