Actor Kartik Aaryan is all set to show off his acting prowess in Kabir Khan’s sports-drama film, Chandu Champion. Busy promoting the release movie, Kartik revealed in an interview that after following a strict routine during the shooting of Chandu Champion, he went on Anees Bazmee’s set for Bhool Bhulaiyaa, where he was asked to increase his energy levels, making him wonder if he was overacting.

Kartik Aaryan’s funny anecdote from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 set

An interviewer for Film Companion asked Kartik about the impact of Chandu Champion on his life and how it has changed him. The actor said that the routine he followed for the preparation of Chandu Champion has turned him into a different person. He also shared a funny anecdote from the sets of his upcoming film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Kartik said that after wrapping up the shoot of Chandu Champion, he went to Anees Bazmee’s set (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3) and the moment he started shooting for a scene, he was asked to increase his energy levels. Kartik said that he reached a point where he had to look at himself to see if he was not overdoing it, eventually realising that this was what the director wanted.

Kartik added that changing that balance from following a strict routine to entering a high-energy level comedy space was a difficult task. “I was switching gears but thankfully there was time. So, I could calculate,” he said.

After Chandu Champion, Kartik will be seen in Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, alongside actress Triptii Dimri.

    Kartik Aaryan on Chandu Champion

Speaking about Chandu Champion, Kartik said that it was a new experience for him and that it takes a lot of responsibility to play a real-life character. He said, “I miss that. I miss that nervousness, maybe. With a film like Chandu Champion, I’m more nervous because it is out of my comfort zone. It’s not a genre I am known for or a genre where people have accepted me. For me, it was like going back to school.”

Helmed by Kabir Khan, Chandu Champion is the real-life story of India’s first paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. Starring Kartik Aaryan, Palak Lalwani and Bhuvan Arora, Chandu Champion will hit theatres on June 4.
