Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar have been quite open about their close bond. The actor-director duo never fails to express their love and admiration for each other on several occasions. Their relationship began with their first collaboration with Student Of The Year and continues to grow stronger. Recently, Alia expressed gratitude to Karan’s production house which “gave shape to her childhood dream.” She also opened up about the advice she looks from Karan on her personal and professional fronts.

The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress said that she goes to the filmmaker to learn how to be a jack of all trades like him professionally. “How to be a jack of all trades and master of many! As a director, producer, host, writer and, of course, a fashion force, there is nothing that he cannot do with the level of attention, dedication and perfection that he puts into everything,” she told The Week magazine. Further, she admitted that whenever she is low and confused, she goes to Karan for advice. “Whenever I am torn—like when my head says something but my heart says something else—I always go to him. And he just reinforces what my heart says. Basically, he is very intuitive and instinctive,” she added.

Earlier, Karan opened up about his parental feelings for Alia and addressed the haters saying, "She's the first person I felt parental about. She's the first person I felt like I had a parental instinct for. I love her and the country knows she's one of our finest actors. I have a tremendous amount of love, respect and admiration and I'm allowed to say what I want about her. So, if I cry at her good news and I really feel good then I'm allowed to. I'm like a parent to her. Why should I be pretending for optics? I genuinely love her and I want to say it all the time."

Meanwhile, Alia and Karan are all set to collaborate once again for Jigra. The two are jointly producing the upcoming film, directed by Vasan Balan. Going by the poster, the film is a story about a brother and sister. The film also stars Vedang Raina, and is scheduled for release on September 27, 2024.
