    Noor found dead in Mumbai apartment

    Noor was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on June 6 after her neighbours informed the police of a foul smell emanating from her flat in Lokhandwala. According to reports, the police found Noor’s body hanging from a ceiling fan and said that she had died by suicide. According to officials, Noor suffered from depression and was on medication. The actress is reported to have been cremated on Sunday by an NGO after the family didn't come forward to claim her body.

    AICWA demands a detailed investigation

    As per media reports, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has appealed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a thorough probe into the alleged suicide. The AICWA, in a post on X, said: “There is a need to conduct a thorough investigation into the suicide case of actor Noor Malabika Das. It is crucial that the Investigation also consider the possibility of foul play and explore the case from a potential murder angle."
