Animal trailer: Ranbir Kapoor explodes with intensity and fire, Bobby Deol turns out to be the show-stealer; watch

The much-awaited trailer of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal is finally here. Trust us when we say that the wait was totally worth it! The trailer gives us goosebumps all the way. By the looks of it, the movie revolves around a son craving for his father’s love and attention his entire life even if it means venturing into the dark side.

Talking about the same, the trailer begins with Ranbir’s character Arjun telling his father Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor) how he had skipped Michael Jackson’s concert despite being a huge fan of his because it was his dad’s birthday the next day. He soon recreates the particular day acting like his father. It is revealed Balbir had misbehaved with his son and had not acknowledged the latter’s gesture for him. We furthermore see glimpses of how Arjun is leaving no stone unturned to make his father happy and seek his validation. In one scene, Arjun also cuts his hair because he thinks his father likes a short hairdo only for the latter to reveal that he prefers his son in long hair too.

Soon, we see Arjun totally getting thrust into the web of the underworld and crime, especially after an assassination attempt on his father. Arjun quite literally becomes like a possessed ‘animal’ when it comes to raising havoc in the lives of those who have dared to attack his father. It is then that he locks horns with Bobby’s character. If Ranbir exudes fire and intensity in the trailer, Bobby looks menacing and a literal terror. The showdown between the two especially the ending of the trailer promises tons of goosebumps. Rashmika Mandanna’s character Geetanjali plays Arjun’s wife who soon suffers a strained marriage with her husband due to his obsession with seeking his father’s validation.

Animal also stars Shakti Kapoor and Prem Chopra in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie will be released on December 1, 2023.
