    It’s only a week since Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal was released and it has already entered Rs 300 club. Despite criticism, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer has garnered footfalls even on weekdays. On Thursday, the film earned Rs 25.50 crore, taking the total domestic collection closer to Rs 350 crore. On the other hand, Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur failed to find takers at the ticket window and struggled to stay afloat. The film made Rs 3.05 crore on the seventh release day, per early estimates.

    According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Animal had an overall 30.43% Hindi Occupancy with mostly night shows contributing to the collection. The film made an opening collection of Rs 63.8 crore and continued to make moolah at the box office despite being A-rated and 3 hours 21 minutes of run time. At the global box office, the film has surpassed Rs 500 crore collection.

    Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur has made a total box office earnings of Rs 38.85 crore nett in India in a week. Globally, the film has amassed Rs 49 crore, and eyeing for Rs 50 crore mark. As per Sacnilk, the film witnessed an overall 21.39% occupancy on Thursday. The movie opened with a decent earning of Rs 6.25 crore owing to positive reviews from both critics and audience.

    Animal delves into the tumultuous relationship between a father and son. Besides Ranbir, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Saurabh Sachdeva and Triptii Dimri. Backed by T-series, Bhadrakali Pictures and Cine1 Studios, the film was released on December 1, 2023. On the other hand, Sam Bahadur follows the life of Sam Manekshaw, the most decorated officers in the Indian army, serving for over four decades and fighting in five wars. Besides Vicky, the film also has Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.
