Atrangi Re: Dhanush calls Sara Ali Khan a hard-working girl; describes Akshay Kumar as ‘honest and punctual’

Eight years ago, South superstar Dhanush made his Bollywood debut with Aanand L Rai ’s romantic drama Raanjhanaa , opposite Sonam Kapoor. He won hearts with his performance and bagged the Filmfare award for Best Debut. Well, the dynamic duo joined hands once again for Atrangi Re , which is all set to premiere on Disney + Hotstar this Christmas. Also starring the gorgeous Sara Ali Khan and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar , the film follows a quirky love story with a twist. The trailer left fans in awe and we can’t wait to see how this romantic drama turns out.

Well, in recent chat with Pinkvilla, Dhanush described Atrangi Re as a very interesting film and shared that he had a great time shooting it. However, he added that the team had to work really hard to get the vision right. Talking about the dream team, Dhanush stated, “And working with Aanand L Rai is like coming back home. We had a blast working together and I understand him more than anybody else and he understands me better. Working with Sara was really a great experience. She is really a hard-working girl and has given her all for this role. I wish her all the best.”

The actor, who plays the role of Sara’s on-screen husband Vishu, also opened up about his experience of working with Akshay, Sara’s on-screen lover. Dhanush was quoted saying, “Akshay sir is so nice, kind, honest and so punctual. There is amazing to learn so much from him. I had a blast working him too.” If they had so much fun working together, imagine how great it would be to watch them shine on-screen in Atrangi Re!
