'Dasara' day one box office collection gives Nani one of the best openings of his career

    Dasara is off to a great start at the box office.



    One of the most anticipated movies of the year is the Nani and Keerthy Suresh starrer Dasara hit theaters worldwide yesterday.

    The movie has received praise from fans and critics alike and has grossed an impressive 38 crores on its opening day.

    Making it one of the best opening day collections in the actor's career. The movie was released in five major Indian languages.

    The shooting for the upcoming action-drama movie officially wrapped earlier this month. The movie marks the directorial debut of Srikanth Odela and stars Keerthy Suresh and Nani.

    The movie is a rural drama set in what appears to be the late 80s and early 90s and is set against the backdrop of the Singareni coal mines in Telangana.

    Nani will be playing the role of Dharani and from the first look of the character which came out a while back that the movie may explore similar themes and aesthetics as Allu Arjun's Pushpa.

    The production for the movie began in March 2022. Dasara is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas.

    The music for the movie is Santhosh Narayanan, with the first single titled 'Dhoom Dhaam Dhosthaan' being released in October of 2022 and receiving positive reactions from critics and fans.

    The movie marks the second collaboration between Nani and Keerthy Suresh, the pair previously shared the screen for the 2017 romantic comedy Nenu Local. The movie was directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina.

    Nenu Local was a massive critical and commercial success and was remade in Bengali and Odia, no doubt the pair hopes to recreate their success with Dasara.

    The cinematography for the movie is being done by Sathyan Sooryan, with editing being handled by National Award winner Naveen Nooli.

    Joining Keerthy Suresh and Nani, the rest of the supporting cast includes Samuthirakani, Dheekshith Shetty, Meera Jasmine, Prakash Raj, Rajendra Prasad, Roshan Mathew, Sai Kumar, Zarina Wahab, and Shanna Kasim.
