Despite a 68% drop Thor: Love and Thunder continues to be number one at the box-office

Thor: Love and Thunder is currently the seventh highest grossing movie of 2022, with Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick holding the number one spot.

The fourth installment in the Thor Franchise received mixed reactions from critics and fans.

Currently, the movie has 68% approval from critics and a 79 % from fans on Rotten Tomatoes.

While the movie has not resonated the same way as the previous installment in the franchise, the movie has grossed 46 million dollars at the domestic box office and retained the number one spot

Thor had an opening weekend collection of $303.3 million globally.

As of right now, the God of Thunder's latest solo adventure has earned a total of $233.2 million domestically and sits at $498 million at the worldwide box office

The film's largest markets internationally are Korea ($15.3 million), the United Kingdom ($14.8 million), Australia ($13.8 million), Mexico ($11.8 million), and India ($10.3 million).

How the movie does in the coming weeks remains to be seen.

The movie is directed by Taikia Waititi and has the God of Thunder taking on Gorr the God Butcher(Christian Bale).
