Ekta Kapoor has this birthday wish for her father Jeetendra on his 80th birthday

Veteran actor Jeetendra turned a year older today. On the occasion, his daughter and producer Ekta Kapoor strolled down memory lane, reminiscing past events of the Himmatwala actor with his family.

Taking to Instagram, Ekta posted a video with a caption that read, "Happie bday to d one I owe everything to!!! U r my biggest blessing!! Happie bday papa." The video opens with a series of pictures of Jeetendra with his grandchildren Laksshya Kapoor(Tusshar Kapoor's son) and Ravie(Ekta Kapoor’s son) with a happy birthday song playing in the background. The video also has pictures of the actor with Ekta, his wife Shobha Kapoor, and his friends from the film fraternity. Watch the video here:

As soon as the video surfaced, several celebrities from the television industry including Mouni Roy and Anita Hassanandani also poured in their lovely birthday wishes for the veteran actor. While Mouni wrote, "Happy birthday to Sir. Greatest Health and happiness always." Anita wrote, "Happiest birthday to Uncle," in the comment sections of the post.

The 80-year-old actor was among the most popular heartthrobs of his time. He is well known for films like Nagin, Dharam Veer , Farz, Tohfa , Himmatwala, and more. Unlike his contemporaries Amitabh Bachchan , and late Rishi Kapoor , he chose to retire from films after 2000. He had once told Mumbai Mirror, "As an actor, I had my limitations and I was fully aware of them. There is nothing I miss about acting. Besides I colour my hair black at home. Why then should I go to a studio and colour my hair white to play someone commensurate to my age?"

Meanwhile, Jeetendra’s daughter Ekta and son Tusshar Kapoor continued his legacy. While Ekta is one of the most successful television producers in the industry, Tusshar Kapoor continues to work as an actor and has recently released a book.
