Gadar 2 Vs OMG 2 Box Office Day 10: Sunny paaji sprints to the 400 crore club; Akshay starrer continues steady run

Yes, we all know by now that Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film Gadar 2 is a blockbuster hit. But another big accomplishment is that even after two whole weekends in theatres, the period action drama refuses to slow down. By the time it completed one whole week on the big screen, Gadar 2’s box office collection had reached Rs 300 crore. As the weekend comes to an end, the movie is now looking forward to making history again as it sprints towards the Rs 400 crore club.

In his latest tweet, trade analyst Taran Adarsh declared the film as an ‘all time blockbuster’. Meanwhile OMG 2, which released on the same day, is enjoying a steady run.

Starring Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva’s doot and Pankaj Tripathi as a man out to fight against the society, OMG 2 saw a lukewarm opening but rose from its ashes like a phoenix. Revealing the film’s collection on day 10, Adarsh shared, “Critical acclaim is important... But audience validation is the ultimate reward… #OMG2 puts up a SOLID SHOW in Weekend 2… To withstand a GOLIATH like #Gadar2 is a humongous achievement… [Week 2] Fri 6.03 cr, Sat 10.53 cr, Sun 12.06 cr. OMG 2 is doing terrific work, especially considering the competition it got from Gadar 2. This is surely a great time for Bollywood!
