Game Changer: Shankar wraps up the climax shoot of Ram Charan upcoming mass action flick.

Director Shankar has confirmed that he has finished shooting the climax sequence for his upcoming movie with Ram Charan titled Game Changer.

The movie is a political thriller that is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.

The movie started filming in September of 2021 in Hyderabad. The movie has a massive budget of 170 crores and is the first collaboration between Shankar and Ram Charan.

The cinematography for the movie is being handled by Tirru and R. Rathnavelu. The music for the movie will be helmed by Thams.S and edited by Shameer Muhammed. 

The movie boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Kiara Advani, Anjali, S. J. Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, and Nassar.

Game Changer will be a pan-Indian release and is expected to hit theaters worldwide in the latter half of 2023.

Now that he has wrapped up Game Changer, director Shankar will resume work on Kamal Haasan's Indian 2.

Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 vigilante thriller and was the highest-grossing movie of the year, The movie was India's official entry for the Oscars that year and also won three National Awards including Best Actor.

In the movie, Kamal Haasan played the role of Senapathy a former freedom fighter turned vigilante who wants to root out corruption.

The movie had to face multiple delays in its production the first due to the pandemic, followed by an accident on the sets, and finally over a dispute with the producers of the movie.

It was only after the success of Kamal Haasan's Vikram, which went on to not only be one of the biggest hits of 2022 but also one of the biggest hits of the actor's career that Indian 2 found its second wind.

According to a new report the makers of the movie are planning on a 2024 Pongal release for the movie which means it will clash with Prabha's science fiction movie Project K and Suriya's period drama Suriya 42.
