Kareena Kapoor Khan on Saif Ali Khan becoming father every decade: 'Told him in your 60s, that's not happening'

Bollywood couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have always been candid about their personal affairs. The two have never shied away from sharing their secret of happy marriage and also the parenthood journey with their two kids Jeh and Taimur. Recently, Kareena opened up about Saif’s fatherhood and jokingly said that he had a child every decade.

In an interview with Vogue, Kareena said, “Saif has had a child every decade—in his twenties, thirties, forties and now in his fifties. I’ve told him, in your sixties, that’s not happening. I think only a man as broad-minded as Saif could be a father of four children at very different stages. He gives his time to them all. And now, with Jeh, we are trying to balance it out. We’ve made a pact that when he’s shooting for a film, I will try not to work on one at the same time (and vice versa).”

For unversed, Saif Ali Khan at the age of 21 got married to his first wife Amrita Singh in the year 1991. In his 20s, he became the father to Sara Ali Khan , the first child with his first wife. Later at the age of 30, his second child, Ibrahim Ali Khan was born. When Saif clocked his 40s, he married actor Kareena Kapoor Khan and welcomed Taimur Ali Khan. He was again blessed with a second baby boy Jeh, at the age of 50.

Earlier, Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan said that his father is very lucky to enjoy fatherhood at different ages.”My running joke with my father is that he’s had a child in every decade of his life- in his 20s, 30s, 40s, and now he is in his 50s. He is really very lucky to enjoy four different avatars of fatherhood (laughs). This child is going to bring even more joy and excitement to my father and Kareena’s life and I couldn’t be happier for them," she told News18.

Meanwhile, in terms of work, Kareena is awaiting the release of Laal Singh Chaddha , featuring alongside Aamir Khan . The film is an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood flick Forrest Gump and also has Naga Chaitanya in a pivotal role. On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan will next be seen with Hrithik Roshan in Vikram Vedha .
