Well, the RanLia fan had been eagerly waiting for the full version of their love ballad ‘ Kesariya ’ from Brahmastra with a bated breath and the track was finally released recently. However, while some fans couldn’t stop gushing over the track, others rather received the song negatively. The song was already under a lot of scrutiny for the line ‘ Love Storiya ’ and now it is being also accused of plagiarism.

Yes, you heard that right! The Twitterverse has been pointing out the uncanny resemblance that ‘Kesariya’ has to the track ‘ Laree Chote ’ from the Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia film Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local (2007). Netizens started calling out composer Pritam for ‘copying’ the Brahmastra song from the track which has been crooned by the Pakistani band CALL. Take a look at the tweets.

A netizen stated, “Kesariya song is copied music from Laree Choote song by call band. Pritam is a music thief.” While another user stated, “Kesariya composition is copied from kya hua jo laree chhuti from 1:40 ki last local. Pritam da copying (getting inspired) again.” Another Twitter user said, “To hell with your Love Storiyaan outrage, kesariya actually has its tune copied from Laree Chooti.”

The song ‘Kesariya’ has been crooned by Arijit Singh and has been composed by Pritam. The lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya who has come under the radar for giving the line ‘Love Storiya’ in the song. The song forms a romantic sequence between Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt ’s characters Shiva and Isha respectively. Many netizens argued that the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions of the song are much better than the Hindi version.

However, some fans have also been defending the track by stating that people who don’t have knowledge about lyrics are now hurling brickbats at ‘Kesariya.’ Talking about Brahmastra, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan , Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in the lead roles. It is scheduled to be released on September 9.
