    The latest Telugu romantic comedy Manamey, starring Sharwanand and Kriti Shetty, which released on June 8, 2024, opened to mixed reviews from both audiences and critics. However, it has surprisingly been able to lure more viewers to the theatres, thanks to its light-hearted narrative and vibrant performances. Directed by Sriram Adittya, here’s how much the film collected on day 2 of its release:

    According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Manamey has been showing steady growth despite the critical reception. On its second day, the Sharwanand-starrer earned approximately Rs 3 crore, bringing its total gross collection to Rs 5.4 crore. The movie also enjoyed an increased average Telugu occupancy of 32.96%, compared to its opening day occupancy of 27.34%. The latest romantic comedy, released alongside Navdeep’s Love Mouli and Kajal Aggarwal’s Satyabhama, has managed to bring in more audiences to the big screens, as Telugu movie-goers have been missing light-hearted genre films in Tollywood for a long time. Despite mixed reviews, the film is expected to perform better at the box office in the days ahead.

    During the pre-release event of the film, leading man Sharwanand said that it was made to 'entertain the audience, free from heavy-handed messages or unnecessary emotions.' He also added that the film combines entertainment with an impactful message, focusing on the importance of spending quality time with loved ones.

    Helmed by Sriram Adittya, this Telugu family entertainer narrates the tale of parenthood. In the film, Sharwanand and Kriti become caregivers to a toddler. While Kriti plays a disciplined character, Sharwanand plays a carefree man. The young child’s character is played by Vikram Adittya, the son of director Sriram Adittya. The film is set in London, UK. Besides the lead cast, the supporting cast includes Seerat Kapoor, Ayesha Khan, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Rahul Ravindran.
