    The first look poster for the upcoming family comedy movie directed by and starring Prithviraj along with Mohanlal is out

    After the great success of his directorial venture Lucifer starring Mohanlal in the lead, actor turned director Prithviraj was quick to announce his next project, a family comedy called Bro Daddy .

    The movie will be produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Productions and has been written by Sreejith. N and Bibin Maliekal. 

    Prithviraj said in an interview that he wanted to make a light-hearted movie that the whole family could watch together. After making a high octane action-thriller like Lucifer, it is no wonder that he wanted a chance of pace.

    Prithviraj's last venture Lucifer went on to become one of the biggest grossing Malayalam movies of all-time earning more than Rs. 200 crores at the box office. So the hype around Bro Daddy is only growing along with the anticipation.

    Along with Mohanlal and Prithviraj, Bro Daddy has an impressive cast that includes Meena, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Lalu Alex, Murali Gopi , and Unni Mukundan in supporting roles.

    The movie is set to stream on Disney + Hotstar on 26 January 2022.

    Apart from Bro Daddy ,Prithviraj and Mohanlal will be seen collaborating on the sequel of Lucifer titled L2: Empuraan. Like the first film Prithviraj will direct the film headlined by Mohanlal and it will reportedly go on floors in mid-2022.

    Incidentally, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is also set for his directorial debut with the film Barroz . Prithviraj was supposed to be part of the film and had already shots few portions of the film but due to the Covid related delays stalling the film the star has backed out of the project. The reason cited in several media reports is Prithviraj’s busy work calendar which isn’t allowing him to make time for shoot.
