Not Dulhania 3, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's romcom titled Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari; release date out

Contrary to earlier rumours, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor will not be starring in the third installment of the Dulhania franchise. But the duo are indeed coming together again for a romcom. The same is titled Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

Talking about the same, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions who are backing the movie released a quirky announcement video. We see Varun being introduced as ‘Sunny Sansari’ and Janhvi as ‘Tulsi Kumari.’ The title of the film is revealed to be Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. It will be written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. The makers have also unveiled the release date of the movie to be April 18, 2025. Shashank has previously directed the duo in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Dhadak. We also see a catchy song ‘Ishq Manzoor’ playing in the background. The caption read, “Your Sanskari is on his way to get his Kumari.” Take a look at the same.

However, the netizens aren’t too pleased as they were expecting the OG hit pair of Varun and Alia to reunite for a movie, Dulhania 3 to be specific. While some fans wanted Shraddha Kapoor to be paired with Dhawan. A comment said, “Is this supposed to be Dulhania 3 in an "exciting and repackaged way" I'm superrr excited to see Varun in this but pls tell me this isn't that and Varia is still gonna come back for that idk why I'm still hoping against hope but yeah.” Another netizen said, “nope not accepting this film....where's Alia?” A user said, “Varun and shraddha would be the best jodi.. we have seen varun and jahnvi together they dont have chemistry.” A netizen furthermore said, “Nope. Not without Alia.”

Varun and Janhvi were earlier seen in the 2023 film Bawaal. The movie was helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. The movie received polarizing views from netizens. It will be interesting to see the duo recreate their chemistry in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
