Not Rakesh Roshan but a Hollywood filmmaker to direct Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 4?

It has been a minute since Hrithik Roshan led Krrish 4 was confirmed to be in the pipeline, however, the project is yet to take off. The movie which the next instalment in India’s biggest superhero franchise will see Hrithik return as Krrish. Reports on the latest developments surrounding the project are in and it seems like Hrithik is hoping to get a Hollywood director on board for the project.

The previous three films of the Krrish franchise have all been directed by Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan . If these reports do turn out to be true, Krrish 4 will be the first film of the franchise to have an outside director. A Bollywood Hungama report has a source claiming that Hrithik has spent a good amount of time locking down the script for Krrish 4 and has now asked his circle to look out for a director who can take on the VFX heavy superhero film.

There’s no doubt that Krrish 4 has high standards to meet after a hiatus of a decade and looks like Hrithik Roshan is deeply engrossed in the process of lining things up for the production to go on floors as soon as possible. The source of the portal also suggests that Hrithik might also fly down to L.A. to meet a few Hollywood folks for Krrish 4.

According to earlier reports, Krrish 4 is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2023. The film will also see the return of the nation’s favourite alien Jadoo who was seen in Koi Mil Gaya which marked the beginning of the Krrish franchise.

For now, Hrithik has Sidharth Anand’s Fighter in the pipeline which also stars Deepika Padukone and is touted to India’s first aerial action film. The movie went on floors in 2022 and Hrithik and Deepika have spent a good deal of time shooting across various locations. The actor is also said to have backed out of Nitesh Tiwari’s cinematic epic Ramayan in which he was earlier reported to be playing Ram.
