Pathan: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer to miss its Diwali release date? Here’s what we know

Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan has been away from the silver screen for way too long and fans are now eagerly waiting for him to make his comeback. Much to our delight, the superstar will be returning to theatres with Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action drama Pathan, which is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the spy thriller will have a special cameo by Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan. Well, recent reports stated that Pathan will be ready for release by Diwali this year. However, latest buzz now suggests that the film might see a delay.

A report shared by Bollywood Life has revealed that there is still some pending work to be done on Pathan, because of which makers might have to rethink the date of premiere. A source shared, “Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback to cinema post a self-imposed 4-year hiatus, and since Pathan is a part of YRF's spy universe along with Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif's Tiger franchise and Hrithik Roshan's War, every little detail of the movie is being scutinised with a fine comb.”

Well, in a recent interview Deepika had shared that the team of Pathan is in the process of finishing up the project and only have one last schedule left to shoot. The actress had revealed that the film will hopefully arrive in theatres by the end of 2022. While Deepika and SRK, who are reuniting on-screen for the 4thtime in Pathan, will be seen as spies, John is portraying the role of the antagonist.
