The success of SS Rajamouli’s recently released masterpiece RRR is definitely the best birthday gift possible for superstar Ram Charan, who turns 37 today. The actor won hearts and left the audiences in awe as Alluri Sitarama Raju in the film, along with his co-stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr. as Komaram Bheem and Alia Bhatt , who played the role of Sita. Fans can’t get over how amazing Charan and Tarak’s chemistry turned out in the much awaited period drama and have been lauding Rajamouli for being the master of action ever since RRR arrived on the big screen.

In a chat with Mid Day, Charan opened up about his co-star NTR Jr. He was quoted saying, “We had to have a genuine bond so that it translated on screen. There is genuine fondness for each other.” Talking about Alia aka Sita, Ram shared, “I have been an admirer of her work since Highway [2014]. After Raazi [2018], I became her fan. After working with her, I understood why people love her so much. There were times when I didn’t get my Telugu lines properly, but she got them bang-on. She was a thorough professional.”

Charan went on to share that the team completely surrendered to Rajamouli’s vision and feels everything fell in place because of the filmmaker. He further lauded his director and explained how over the years Rajamouli has evolved to bring a realistic touch to his fictional characters after understanding the market. For the uninitiated, RRR follows a fictional story of revolutionaries Rama Raju and Bheem who fight together against British Raj.

Well, we wish Ram a very happy birthday and hope to see him soon again in another masterpiece!
