Saripodhaa Sanivaaram: First single from Nani-starrer to be out on THIS date

After a long hiatus, there’s an exciting update about Nani’s most anticipated film, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. The first single from his upcoming Telugu film, directed by Vivek Athreya, will be released soon! Popular Malayalam music composer Jakes Bejoy has composed the original soundtracks and background music for the Nani-starrer.

The makers of the film took to their social media handles to announce that the first single from the upcoming film will be released on June 15, 2024. “This time, he's here early to give you all a heads up about his rage this Saturday. #SSFirstSingle will blast your speakers on June 15th,” the makers wrote.  

The film also stars Tamil actors Priyanka Mohan and SJ Suryah in key roles. Produced by DVV Entertainment, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 29, 2024. 

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram glimpse

An earlier glimpse of the film showcased Nani in an abandoned godown, tied up in chains. Then a voiceover, by Telugu actor Sai Kumar, narrates how the concept of every dog having its day has endured the test of time. The voiceover then asks, what if a person gets his best day every week? And what if that day was a Saturday? We then see Nani unshackling himself and emerging from the warehouse to the sounds of thunderstorms and energetic background music, while people outside the warehouse look at him in dismay.

Touted to be an action thriller, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram marks the second collaboration between Nani and Vivek, who previously worked together on the romantic drama Ante Sundaraniki. Written and directed by Vivek, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram revolves around Surya, played by Nani as he transforms into a vigilante superhero to combat injustice.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram OTT partner

Earlier, it was announced that Netflix had acquired the OTT rights to Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. The film will be available for streaming on the platform after its theatrical release. It will be released in Telugu, along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, all under the title Surya's Saturday.
