‘Seems like a Sajid Khan movie’: Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus fails to impress; netizen asks for a refund

When it was announced that Ranveer Singh is joining hands with director Rohit Shetty once again, fans were over the moon with joy. This is because their first collaboration Simmba was a mind blowing entertainer-- right from the script and punch lines to Ranveer’s hilarious performance as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao. In Cirkus , the actor had a double role so we expected double the fun. Well, the comedy which also stars Pooja Hegde , Varun Sharma and Jacqueline Fernandez arrived in theatres today. Sadly, instead of wowing the audiences, Ranveer and Rohit’s Cirkus has left fans extremely disappointed.

Many took to Twitter to share their reviews. While some compared Cirkus to Sajid Khan ’s films, one angry social media user asked for a refund. The netizen shared, “@RanveerOfficial my son is feeling sad and depressed and seeing movie. Plz refund my money. I will buy toy for him. #CirkusReview #bakwass.” Meanwhile, another tweet read: “Disappointment by #RohitShetty. No scene where you can laugh.. Seems like it's a #SajidKhan movie.. #Cirkus You can skip this movie and watch #Avatar again #CirkusReview.”

One netizen was even reminded of Sajid’s Humshakals ! The social media user tweeted: “Rohit Shetty 'Cirkus' reminds me of Sajid Khan directed 'Humshaakals'. Not able to decide which was a worster film. Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma have really given bad performances. Maha Bakwaas Film. #CirkusReview #Cirkus #rohitshetty #RanveerSingh #humshaakals #PoojaHegde.” A sarcastic review also read: “#CIRKUS is the BEST ENTERTAINER of 2022. Don’t believe in reviews. Just book your tickets. You might be thinking that I’m joking but trust me I actually am. So jokes apart. It’s actually the WORST #RohitShetty film so far. Seems like his first flop in 14 years. #CirkusReview.”

Well, after Cirkus, all our bets are now on Rohit and Ajay Devgn’s Singham 3. Let’s see what happens!
