Shehzada trailer: Despite the honest efforts, Kartik Aaryan fails to match Allu Arjun's magnetic screen presence

The wait is finally over as Kartik Aaryan ’s Shehzada trailer just dropped a while ago. The movie is a Hindi remake of the blockbuster Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo that starred Allu Arjun in the lead role. The movie has been helmed by Rohit Dhawan.

Talking about the trailer, it shows Kartik Aaryan playing a free-spirited lad who can fight the world for the sake of his family. However, after a turn of events, he learns that the man whom he thought was his father ( Paresh Rawal ) is not actually his real father and that he is actually the son of a billionaire played by Ronit Roy . That is how he soon earns the name ‘Shehzada’ which translates to a prince. Kriti Sanon is introduced as his love interest.

We soon see that Kartik locks horns with Sunny Hinduja’s character who plays the main antagonist and wants to harm his actual family. Manisha Koirala seems to be playing the role of his mother in the movie. However, the over-the-top performances and gags rather render the trailer underwhelming. Despite putting in all his efforts, Kartik fails to meet the magnetic and effortless charm of Allu Arjun in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Even the actor’s reunion with his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 co-star Rajpal Yadav who plays a police officer doesn’t successfully tickle our funny bone. The scenes between Kartik and his foster father played by Paresh Rawal lack the needed chemistry. Not even a gag of SS Rajamouli’s cult film RRR evoke laughter. Take a look at the video.

Not only this but the soundtracks of the film also failed to strike a chord in the first go. Well, even though the trailer of Shehzada failed to impress, let us wait for the film to hit the big screens to see if it will be a hit or a miss for Kartik Aaryan. The film will be released on February 10, 2023.
