In Aditya Roy Kapur’s filmography, his portrayal of Rahul Jayakar in Aashiqui 2 stands out and remains etched in fans’ hearts. The hit franchise is headed for its third installment, replacing him with Kartik Aaryan. In his latest appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 8, Aditya reacted to Kartik stepping into his most-loved character.

The host Karan Johar asked Aditya about how he feels not being part of the Aashiqui 3 and replaced by Kartik. To which he replied, “I think he’s the perfect person to take the baton forward. There was no chance I could be in this because, in the second part, my character went for a long swim, from which he is not returning. I think it’s great. I died; where will I come back now? My spirit will come back.” Aditya further joked about returning as spirit in the film. And Karan laughed adding that it would be funny to watch him a ghost haunting Kartik for taking over his popular role.
