    While Matt Reeves new Batman movie is a stand-alone movie set outside the DCEU, it has quite a few easter eggs and references, so we made a list of 5 that you may have missed, Spoilers ahead

    The new Batman movie hit theaters this week and has been well revied by critics and fans and has grossed over 450 million dollars worldwide and is one of the few Hollywood movies that has secured a theatrical release in China.

    The movie focus on a young Bruce Wayne, played by Robert Pattinson who has only two years of experience fighting crime in Gotham City as the Dark Knight, when a new supervillain calling himself the Riddlerthetrsn the safety of the city it's up to Batman to save the day

    The movie while set outside the DCEU has plenty of easter eggs and references to other characters and places and teases future stories set in the same universe.

    Venom

    In the final act of the movie, while taking on Riddlers goons and trying to save Catwoman, our hero finds himself outnumbered, and to even the odds our hero takes out a vile of green liquid from his bat-suit and drinks it which increases his strength and speed and helps him make short work of the goons.

    This green liquid is Venom, the chemical that gives the supervillain Bane his amazing strength, in the omics even before Bane was introduced Batman has used the experimental drugs in his early days as a crime fighter but stopped when he realized how addictive the chemical was

    Abandoned Wayne Manor

    In The movie Batman and Alfred live in the heart of Gotham City rather than Wayne Manor, it is revealed that after the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne the house was changed into a shelter for orphans but due to a lack of attention has fallen into a sorry state and known is mostly abandoned.

    So the possibility of Bruce Wayne returning to his ancestral home and fixing it up and perhaps setting up the Bat cave could be a possibility in the future, 

    Hush

    Edward Nashton aka The Riddler played by Paul Dano revels to Batman about his father's dark past and how he asked his friend crime lord Carmine Falcone to kill a journalist named Edward Elliot, the word Hush then flashes across the screen.

    This set'sup the arrivalof the Batman villian Hush, in the comic;s Hush is a world renouned surgeon and chilhood friend of Bruce Wayne who deeply recents his friend and deciced to team up with The Riddler and destroy Bruce Wayne.

    Arkham Asylum

    Another interesting revelation from The Riddler was about Martha Wayne, and how she was an inmate of Arkham Asylum, hinting that mental health issues run in the Wayne family as well as implying that Bruce Wayne might not be that stable.

    With the recent news that HBO Max will be making a spinoff show about the iconic mental hospital which houses many of Batman's iconic villains and has a reputation of being dangerous we will likely get to know more about its history

    The Joker

    At the end of the movie after his defeat at the hands of The Batman , The Riddler finds himself an inmate in Arkham Asylum where he makes a new friend.

    Director Mattreeves has confirmed The Etranals actor Barry Keoghan was playing the Joker at the end of the movie, he also revealed the villain be more grounded when he eventually resurfaces 

    the version of the Joker in the movie has not embraced his clown persona and was captured by Batman during his first year in Gotham and suffers a congenital condition that's left him with a permanent smile
