Despite being stuck in devolvement hell for a few years the highly anticipated fifth entry into the beloved Indiana Jones franchise is well into production.

The movie will have Harrison Ford reprise his role as the iconic archaeologist and will be directed by James Mangold.

The last installment in the franchise Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was not well received by fans or critics but was a box-office hit and grossed over 700 million worldwide.

Well according to actor Boyd Holbrook who played an undisclosed role in the movie fans have nothing to worry about and the movie is in the right hands with James Margold at the helm.

In a interview with Men's Health the actor had this to say about Indiana Jones 5 "I can assure you that it’s going to be badass, I got to see like half an hour of it when I went to L.A., and I saw Jim."

"You know, just look at his work: Ford v Ferrari, it’s gonna be fast, it’s gonna be badass, and it’s gonna have heart. All of his films have this emotional beat in them, but we’ve got this grand scale of Indiana Jones."

"And Harrison is the best type of crazy you can get. And I really grew up with Indiana Jones. I wasn’t so big on other franchises, and stuff like that, but to do that, it really just reignited why I want to do this," Holbrook concludes. "To do something and to make something that’s burned into eternity. To be part of Indiana Jones - It’s pretty great."

While plot details are scarce, we do know that the movie will be set in the 1960s and will be connected to Nasa's Apollo space program.

The movie will de-age Harrison ford for certain parts of the movie so we will get to Indy in his prime.

The movie boasts an ensemble cast that includes Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones, and Antonio Banderas.

Indiana Jones 5 is set o hit theaters on June 30, 2023.
