Water Packet song from Raayan: Santhosh Narayanan and Shweta Mohan croon this charming ‘love gaanaa’

The second single from the Dhanush-starrer Raayan, titled 'Water Packet,' has been released! The leading man and director of the film, Dhanush, took to his social media handles to release the song and wrote, “Raayan second single 'Water Packet'... A love gaanaa from @arrahman sir. Thank you @Music_Santhosh for lending your voice for this song. @ShwetaMohan lyricist Gaanaa Kadhar (sic).”

The song features actors Sundeep Kishan and Aparna Balamurali sharing lovable moments against the backdrop of North Madras, hinting that the film’s story is centered around the lives of the residents of the area. Santhosh Narayanan and Shwetha Mohan’s vocals have been loved by fans, who have hailed composer A. R. Rahman and lyricist Gaanaa Kadhar for creating a magical song.

Water Packet is the second single from the upcoming gangster film, following the release of the first song, Adangatha Asuran.

While it has been confirmed that Sundeep Kishan’s love interest in the film is played by Aparna Balamurali, reports indicate that Dhanush will not have a love interest in the gangster drama. Actress Dushara Vijayan, who is also part of the cast, might be essaying the role of the Asuran star’s sister.

Directed by Dhanush, the upcoming film Raayan marks his second directorial venture and the 50th film in his acting career. The gangster drama features an ensemble cast, including Selvaraghavan, SJ Suryah, Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Saravanan, and Aparna Balamurali in key roles. The movie is set against the backdrop of North Madras, with Dhanush rumored to be playing the character of a cook who is secretly a gangster. The story centers around Dhanush’s character named Raayan, with Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan playing his brothers.
