March has had a slow start till now. Even though we had expected Anushka Sharma starrer Pari to take the box office by storm, it could not leave its mark on the numbers. It is still February release Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety and Padmaavat that are having a rock-solid run even in March.

Needless to say, critics are desperately looking for a hit in March. And with Ajay Devgn's Raid releasing on 16th March, we think that the March Box Office numbers might just take a U-Turn. Here are 5 reasons why we feel that Raid might turn out to be the biggest release of March:

1. Ajay Devgn

Yes, Ajay himself has a superb fan following and star power. He alone has the capability to bring the audiences to the theatres. There are so many of his fans who eagerly await the release of his films and most of his films make a great box-office collection. With his look in this film, curiosity has already been generated and people might flock to the theatres despite this being a non-holiday release.

2. The plot

The film is based on the real-life events that took place in Lucknow in the 80s. In fact, we have seen very few films on tax raids and this one has a very real and novel plot. The film would also be a tribute to the work of brave officers who risk themselves to save the hard-earned money of the public. The plot is interesting enough to drive the audiences to the theatres.

3. The director 

The film has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta who has also directed films like Aamir and No One Killed Jessica. the films had been trendsetters of their own times and garnered both critical and commercial success. Hopefully, under his direction, this film too will be made better!

4. The Supporting actors

The film also has other talented stars like Ileana D'Cruz and Saurabh Shukla. In fact, even in the brief appearance that he had in the trailer, Shukla left an impact and it would be interesting to see the character that he plays. We have loved Ileana and Ajay's chemistry in Baadshaho and it would hopefully be magical in Raid as well.

5. The dialogues

The dialogues of the film might also prove to be a show stealer. A few of them that could be found in the trailer were brilliant. The dialogues ensure that the audiences have their own 'siti-taali' moment and make the film massey.
