November 8... Iravu Ettu Mani: Bharathiraja's new film based on demonetisation ...

Tentatively titled as November 8… Iravu Ettu Mani (November 8… Eight PM), the film is said to be an interesting story based on the series of incidents that unfolded after Prime Minister Modi’s surprise announcement on demonetisation in 2016.

Bharathiraja is known for his collaborations with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in the past, the director’s 16 Vayadhinile (1977) is the first super hit Tamil film shot completely in outdoors. The shoot of November 8… Iravu Ettu Mani commenced on Monday with a formal puja. Rathnakumar has penned the story and Saalai Sahadevan will be cranking the camera.

Viddharth, who had earlier starred in Prabhu Solomon’s Mynaa and Manikandan’s Kuttrame Thandanai, will be seen playing the main lead. Major portions of the film will be shot in Chennai and Pudhukottai, informs a source close to the team.

Bharathiraja’s last film Annakodi (2013) was a huge disaster at the box office and it heavily panned by the critics, stressing that the filmmaker has lost his magic.
