Shah Rukh Khan on Happy New Year: “It’s not just a Shah Rukh starrer”

Superstar Shah Rukh, who is involved in the shooting of his upcoming flick Happy New Year, declares that the movie is a multi-starrer. The actor quoted, "The film is very new. It`s an ensemble film. It`s not just a Shah Rukh starrer." The 47-year-old confirms the cast saying that the flick has Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Vivaan Shah and Sonu Sood in the lead.

The Badshah of Bollywood continued his statement saying, “I am doing an ensemble film for the first time. The beauty and newness of `Happy New Year` is that it is not a hero or heroine oriented film." Previously, Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan’s jodi made a blast with Chennai Express by earning Rs. 400 crore plus and broke the record of 3 Idiots. Now also it seems like this multi-starrer flick with Star Rukh-Deepika will create a buzz.

Happy New Year is a Farah Khan directorial and will be produced by Gauri Khan. Shah Rukh is to essay the role of Charlie while Abhishek will be Ankit. The much-awaited flick going to release on Oct. 23 next year, will be given music by Vishal Shekhar. The venture is made under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment.
