    Time To De-stigmatize Mental Illness: Deepika Padukone

    Taking her foundation Live Love Laugh one step forward, Deepika Padukone has decided to collaborate with government of Karnataka. On the occasion of World Health Day, Deepika made the announcement and addressed audience at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bangalore. The aim is to spread awareness and bring make people with mental illness more acceptable in the society.  

     “In 2015, The Live Love Laugh Foundation was established to raise awareness and de-stigmatize depression. Recent initiatives by the government show that the authorities are committed to addressing and combatting the imposing challenge that Depression presents. I hope together we create an environment where people afflicted with mental illnesses feel comfortable, safe and loved", said Deepika.

    Presently, Deepika is working on Padmavati, where the project is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie also has Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in it.  She will also be seen making special appearance in Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta. It has Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.
