Vidya Balan sad over Ghanchakkar’s failure, but doesn’t regret doing it

Actress Vidya Balan’s last outing Ghanchakkar failed miserably at the box office. This has upset Vidya as the star feels that she and the makers were trying to do something new with the flick. She said, “I did have expectations from this film as well like any other film. When we work on a film, we hope people will like the film. I felt sad when people did not like the film. I think you look at the larger perspective that we tried doing something new, but people did not like it and it is fine.”

Even though the film bombed, Vidya has no regrets about doing it. She quoted, “I don’t regret doing the film at all. It was a different experience for me. As an actor it was something different that I tried doing. I had never played a character who is obnoxiously loud…it presented me a new opportunity.” Vidya will next be seen in Shaadi Ke Side Effects. The film will be out on February 28.
