Divergent to hit Indian theatres in April

The movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s bestseller, Divergent, is one of the most awaited films of 2014 worldwide. After opening on March 21 in the U.S., it will reportedly get released on April 11 in India.

Directed by Neil Burger, the sci-fi flick Divergent, has been appreciated by the author herself. Roth said in a statement, "I`ve never read a script before. I was really impressed by how closely it stuck to the general plot line of the book. It`s really interesting to see how the actual actor relationships reflect the character relationships. All the young initiates have a great comrade with each other.” The silver screen adaptation stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Zoe Kravitz and Kate Winslet in the lead. Based in advanced Chicago of future times, Divergent revolves around an ultramodern technology which tests people at a very young age and divide them into five groups based on their behavioural patterns and qualities. Apart from English, Divergent will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in India.
