Joss Whedon Working on New Comic

Known for directing ‘The Avengers’ movie, Joss Whedon is creating a new comic titled ‘Twist’. It will be published by Dark Horse Comics. The comic will feature a Victorian female Batman.

Joss is responsible for shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Agents of SHIELD. Entertainment Weekly has reported that the comic will be a “Victorian thriller”. Joss stated, “It's a Victorian thriller about a meek chambermaid who is fed to a dark horror, but instead of dying, she returns, with knowledge, power, and rage she can neither deny nor control. It deals with the most important moral question facing us, which is: Why isn't there a Victorian female Batman?”

Back in 2004, Joss wrote the Astonishing X-Men comic for Marvel Comics. He has also written or executive produced several Buffy comics which were also published by Dark Horse. ‘Twist’ will come out as a six-issue mini-series. It does not have a release date as of yet.
