Mirren and DeVito Team Up With Jolie In The One and Only Ivan

Dame Helen Mirren and actor Danny DeVito have teamed up with the cast of actress Angelina Jolie's upcoming production venture 'The One and Only Ivan'. The movie is helmed by 'Me Before You' fame director, Thea Sharrock. As per reports, the film is an adaptation of the Newbery Medal-winning book of the same name by Katherine Applegate.

Angelina Jolie will be voicing one of the characters in the movie apart from producing the same. Notably, the film went on floors earlier this week. Moreover, Bryan Cranston and Ariana Greenblatt will appear in the live-action part of the movie as will Ramon Rodriguez and Eleanor Matsuura.

The story of the book follows a silverback gorilla named Ivan, who lives in a cage in a shopping mall along with a stray dog called Bob and an elephant named Stella. Ivan does not remember life before the mall, but when a baby elephant named Ruby enters his life and Ivan starts taking care of her, he begins to rediscover his previous life and concocts a plan to take the baby elephant to a new home.
