Natalie Portman to portray Ruth Bader Ginsburg in ‘On the Basis of Sex’

Natalie Portman is set to portray the role of Ruth Bader Ginsburg in On the Basis of Sex, reported by TheWrap. The film is based on the 2014 Black List script by Daniel Stiepleman. The filmmakers are also in negotiations with Marielle Heller to direct the movie.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. She was appointed by President Bill Clinton and took the oath of office on August 10, 1993. She is the second female justice and the first Jewish female justice. Ginsburg has spent a large portion of her career as an advocate for women’s rights as a constitutional principle.

The story of the film will focus on the numerous obstacles faced by Ginsburg while fighting for equal rights for women in America. Robert W. Cort will produce the movie along with Ram Bergman. Portman will also be seen in Gavin O’Connor’s Jane Got a Gun.
