Pete’s Dragon Trailer Released

The upcoming film Pete’s Dragon has got a new trailer released by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie will be another look at the 1977 film by the same name. Directed by David Lowery, Pete’s Dragon will hit the screens on August 12.

The movie showcases the bond between Pete and a dragon named Elliot. Oakes Fegley plays the role of 10 year old Pete. The movie also features Bryce Dallas Howard who plays the role of a park ranger named Grace. Robert Redford plays the role of Grace’s father.

The cast for Pete’s Dragon also includes Wes Bentley as Jack, a local mill owner, Karl Urban plays Jack’s brother and Oona Laurence plays Natalie, Pete’s friend. Jim Whitaker has produced the film and Barrie Osborne has played the role of executive producer. The screenplay has been penned by Lowery and Toby Halbrooks. WETA Digital, the visual effects company has given life to the CGI dragon Elliot.
