Zooey Deschanel engaged to Jacob Pechenik

According to sources, New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, who just announced last week that she’s expecting her first baby  is engaged to her boyfriend, Jacob Pechenik. Jacob, 42, is a producer, and Zooey have been dating since mid-August. They met on the set of her new movie, Rock the Kasbah, which is currently in post-production.

This will be the second marriage for Deschanel. The 35-year-old star was previously wed to Death Cab for Cutie vocalist Ben Gibbard. The newly engaged pair made their first official appearance together on the red carpet at the 2014 Emmys in August last year. Zooey's currently starring as quirky girl Jess Day in Fox's New Girl, and as one-half of the band She & Him with singer M. Ward. Her boyfriend Jacob serves as producer for her upcoming comedy Rock The Kasbah.
