India's Very Own Superhero Shaktiman To Return To TV!

It's a moment to rejoice for all those 90's people who grew up watching Shaktimaan! 

Mukesh Khanna who played the role earlier in the hit television series that started airing in 1997 is going to reprise it. He played Shaktimaan and his alter-ego Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri. Take a moment to regain your breath! 

“We are planning the return of Shaktimaan on television and the discussions are going on with few channels. I can’t committ the date but you will get to see it soon. I am working on my look and body for it. I have already lost 8 kgs and will be losing another 8 kilos. I am not trying to get six pack abs. I want to try and match up with the look that I had 15 years back. People relate to me as Shaktimaan and I can’t offer the role to anyone" Mukesh said in an interview to a leading website.

He also said that, he is in talk with some TV channels about the deal, will be coming out soon with the show. The actor is reportedly getting into shape to fit into Shaktimaan's suit again and has already lost eight kilos in the process.

Shaktimaan was a series on the watchlist of every kid on saturday afternoons and sunday mornings.Top that with Desi breakfasts, Shaktiman will fill you with nostalgia of those carefree days when you could run away from responisbilties like this:

No superhero has found a better fan following than Shaktimaan, owing to his powers which include- flying, super speed, shape shifting, telepathy, heat generation and the list goes further on. 

The show might have been marred with poor special effects and funny acting from the villians trying to be scary, but it was a start. Expect betterment in all departments.

Sorry Shaktiman- A short educational epilogue of the serial aimed at imparting moral values in kids and pulling up their parents for doing the wrong things was watched with equal interest by viewers. Let's see if it is retained.
