Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 hits the theatres today and it's his first release following 2 box-office duds, Munna Michael and A Flying Jatt. Baaghi is the sequel to his hit film Baaghi which earned over 76 Crores in India. Though this time, the leading lady is Disha Patani who replaces Shraddha Kapoor. Tiger's and Disha's fans are eager to watch the chemistry of 2 actors who are said to be dating in real life.
The film is directed by Ahmed Khan who has directed films like Lakeer and Fool & Final. He will also be directing Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 3 which has already been announced. For the time being, here is our pictorial review of Baaghi 2:
Tiger Shroff plays Ranveer Pratap Singh from the Indian Army who is quite emotional, reckless and a fearless person who doesn't care much about the rules. He is also quite determined whenever he sets his eyes on a particular task.
The films give a full-on single-screen theatre feel as it seems like an ode to the films of the 90s. The action sequences are the highlights of the film while Tiger Shroff in undoubtedly the MVP of the film. The film suffers from a disjointed screenplay and poor dialogues. The supporting cast is also wasted as they play one-dimensional characters.
Disha Patani has a limited screen time and plays a character who is compassionate creative and emotional. She looks good alongside Tiger Shroff but due to limited screen time, you don't really get to know much about her character.
Disha & Tiger's chemistry is one of the strongest points of Baaghi 2 while the action sequences live up to the hype created by the trailer and promised by the makers. The supporting cast is underutilized while the suspense part doesn't exactly deliver what the viewers were thinking. The film is a mixed bag all in all.
