Kartik Aaryan calls Imtiaz Ali his 'favorite soul' on his birthday, Sanjana Sanghi thinks the filmmaker is the 'OG Rockstar'

Kartik Aaryan and actress Sanjana Sanghi took to social media today to extend birthday greetings to filmmaker Imtiaz Ali as he turned 50. The actor posted a fan-made video of him and Imtiaz on Instagram while posting a monochrome picture of them from the sets of Love Aaj Kal 2 on Twitter.

The video featured Kartik and Imtiaz hugging it out during various moments during the film’s making. The Love Aaj Kal 2 star called the filmmaker his ‘favorite soul’. While the 2019 film also featuring Sara Ali Khan and Randeep Hooda failed to bring audiences to the ticket windows, Kartik definitely had the time of his life working with the director who has given Bollywood several masterpieces including Jab We Met and the original Love Aaj Kal.

Another actor who took to Instagram to shower love and admiration on Imtiaz was actress Sanjana Sanghi who debuted as a 13-year-old in another one of the filmmaker’s notable films, Rockstar. Sanjana who played Nargis Farkri’s younger sister in the film posted several throwback pictures from the making of Rockstar with the filmmaker.

Wishing Imtiaz she wrote, “Happiest of birthdays to my OG Rockstar, @imtiazaliofficial ?✨ Thank you for making a small little 13-year-old me realise that this world of film-making is both magical & mystical. For making me discover an entire universe I could never have fathomed I had inside of me. For the best memories in the world. For always embracing & tolerating me through all my idiocies.”

Sanjana made her debut as a leading lady opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in the film Dil Bechara which released digitally last year.
