Rakul Preet Singh Reveals Mother Boosted Her Morale, Told Her to Practice For Swimsuit Competition In Miss India

Rakul Preet Singh has made her place in Bollywood. She had started small, but has been rolling out successful films one after the other. In fact, with her last film, De De Pyaar De, she won hearts and upped her box-office game. Rakul Preet Singh had started out really young. In fact, she had been a participant in Miss India 2011 (which also had Erica Fernandez in Top 10) and even though she could not win the pageant, she won in four titles.

In a recent interview along with her mother, the actress revealed that she was not at all confident about Miss India, especially the challenging swimsuit competition. But, Rakul also added that it were her parents,, especially her mother, who boosted her confidence and morale. Talking to Pinkvilla, the actress said, “I kept telling her that you need to wear a bikini for Miss India. I said I'm not prepared for that. But she was confident. She said, 'You'll prepare for it, isme kya hai?'”She also said that her father supported her too and advised her to look for vibrant colour instead of dull ones when she went out for bikini shopping with her mother.
