Sushant Singh Rajput's Family Lawyer Calls Siddharth Pithani's Arrest 'Poetic Justice' Says, 'He Has At Least Gone To Jail'

It has been almost a year since the tragic demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput that shocked the nation and led to a whole lot of controversy. While it is still uncertain what led to the Bollywood actor’s sudden death, recently his flatmate Siddharth Pithani who was allegedly the one to have found him dead in his bedroom was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Vikas Singh, Sushant’s family lawyer has now reacted to Pithani’s arrest and called it ‘poetic justice'. Siddharth’s name cropped up last year among those accused by Sushant’s family for the mysterious death of the actor in his apartment as the Central Bureau of Investigation picked up the case.

While the CBI itself is yet to render a verdict on the case, the NCB which has been actively looking into the drug case related to Sushant’s death has made several arrests with Siddharth’s arrest in Hyderabad being the latest.

Talking about the CBI investigation which is taking a long time to come to a conclusion, advocate Vikas Singh told TOI, “I am quite hopeful that they will able to unravel the mystery and they are working on it lets keep our fingers crossed. As far as the arrest of Siddharth Pithani is concerned it is a kind of poetic justice that he has at least gone to jail.”

Pithani’s role in the case is still unknown but the NCB was said to be on a look out for him and on eventually finding him in Hyderabad, he was arrested and brought to Mumbai for questioning.

Vikas Singh called Siddharth a key person in the case and added, “I have been saying this for a really long time that he should be arrested and the reason being he was there with Sushant when Rhea Chakraborty went away and the day Sushant was found dead. Siddharth was the one who opened the room and he was the one who called the locksmith and was the one to lower the body of the actor, so he is very crucial to the case in every which way, whether it is murder or abetment to suicide he will definitely be involved in it.”

Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14, 2020 and his family later on filed a case alleging that the actor was murdered.
