Swara Bhasker: "Can’t wait to be a parent, always wanted a family and children"

Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker has taken the first step towards being a mother. Well, if you think that she's going to get married soon, then let's change the perspective. She is all set to turn a mother soon as she has registered herself to adopt a child. In a recent interview, she has revealed that she is on the waitlist and that she can't wait to be a mom!

Talking to Mid Day, Swara Bhasker said, “I’ve always wanted a family and children. I realised that adoption was a way to marry these things. Luckily in India, the State allows single women to adopt. I met many couples who have adopted children, met some children who were adopted and are now almost adults. I read up on the process and experience.”

She also added that her parents have been supportive of her decision and added, “I am now a prospective adoptive parent on CARA. I know the waiting period is long, often as long as three years, but I can’t wait to be a parent to a child through adoption.”

Swara will join so many other celebs like Sushmita Sen and Sunny Leone who embarked on the path to motherhood with adoption. Well, we hope that the little ray of sunshine in Swara Bhasker's life comes soon and we also get a glimpse. Swara will next be seen in the same-sex love story Sheer Korma. The film premiered at the Soho London Independent Film Festival and Swara even bagged an award, in Best Actress in a Supporting Role category.
