Bigg Boss OTT: Raqesh Bapat says his feelings for Shamita Shetty are genuine; did not use her for the game

Actress Shamita Shetty chose Raqesh Bapat to be her connection when she entered the Bigg Boss OTT house. While the first week saw a few bumps in the road, they eventually became really close and ended up falling for one another. The two even confessed their feelings while they were in the BB house, but Raqesh made it clear that he wants to discuss the relationship only after the show comes to an end. Well, a few days after the grand finale the two went out for a dinner date and were recently spotted after a salon session. Clearly their relationship is on the right track.

However, there are some trolls who accused Raqesh of using the Sharara Sharara actress only for the game. In a chat with Pinkvilla, the Tum Bin star clarified that this was not the case. He was quoted saying, “That's not right! Shamita and I, both of us have had our own professional journeys and I do not need anybody to help me reach my goal. Also, let me tell you that honestly, winning the show was never my goal, I had participated to garner experience and see what the hype over BB has been all these years. So using Shamita to reach till the very end is absolutely out of question!”

Raqesh further shared that his feelings for Shamita come from a ‘place of care’ and are all from his heart. He explained, “Had Shamita not been in the game, I would still have remained the same as I was seen throughout my stint, for I am the same in my real life too. There was no pretence. In that house, you need somebody to talk to, to vent out to, otherwise you may just go mad. Whatever feelings of mine you all saw for Shamita were absolutely genuine and came from within a pure soul and intentions.”

The actor concluded that he’s not that shallow and wouldn’t have been sad if he was evicted in the initial weeks also. Well, we can’t wait to see how beautifully Raqesh and Shamita’s liking turns into love!
