Kapil Sharma asks about Neha Kakkar's sister Sonu Kakkar replacing her on Indian Idol 12: Puri family ka contract hai?

The Kapil Sharma Show is hosting the finalists of Indian Idol 12 along with Neha Kakkar and her brother Tony Kakkar this weekend. Neha who judged the singing reality show during the first half of the year earned quite a reputation for crying at the drop of hat hearing about the hardships of contestants and was piqued for the same by Krushna Abhishek.

While Neha has faced a significant amount of trolling for her tears in the past, Krushna Abhishek in character as Sapna sat next to the singer and said “Main bohot dukhi hoon (I am very upset).” When Neha asked him why, Krushna said it is because no one loved him, only to break character a moment later and tell her, “Aap rona nahi, haan? Main contestant nahi hoon (Don’t cry, I am not a contestant)."

All the Indian Idol 12 contestants couldn’t control their laughter at this along with the audience. Krushna also didn’t back away from taking a dig at Indian Idol 12 contestants as he said, “9-9 mahine udhar Indian Idol chalate hain, ab idhar bhi Indian Idol chala rahe hain, kitna Indian Idol chalega? (They had a 9 months long season and now they are here also how long will Indian Idol run?)”

Kapil also asked Neha about her going missing from Indian Idol 12 mid-season and being replaced by sister Sonu Kakkar. He asked, “Kya puri family ka contract hai, Sony TV ke saath? (Does the whole family have a contract with Sony TV?)”. Neha replied, “Dekho sab kursi ka khel hai toh jab kursi chod ke jao na toh apne bande ko chod ke jana chajiye (It’s all about the seat, so when you vacate your position you should always leave to your own”).

The episode airs on Sunday evening.
